Gaston Gérard (1859-1915) was a French painter of mythological subjects, genre scenes, animated landscapes, and decorative compositions. He was also a watercolorist, gouache painter, engraver, and illustrator. The work was sold by the prestigious Mignon-Massart gallery, one of the best art dealers and framers in Nantes. Regarding its condition, there are some small marks in the margins and minor damage to the frame. The work is generally well preserved.
