Another rare large earthenware bowl on a pedestal base by Paul Fouillen. It is signed within the decoration and on the back "Paul Fouillen Quimper," dated "15/11/1947." Connoisseurs will recognize that when a piece from the Fouillen factory is dated in this way, it is indeed a personal creation by Paul Fouillen, made and painted by him, without the intervention of a member of his workshop. These dated pieces are rare on the market. It has good dimensions, measuring 31 cm in diameter x 8 cm in height. In very good condition, however, I believe this piece has undergone professional restoration; I purchased it in this condition. The restoration is invisible, but I suspect it has been retouched.
