Louis XVI Period Commode With Slight Projection
A rectangular commode with a slightly projecting top, veneered in rosewood marquetry with butterfly wing and rosette motifs, and decorated with Greek key patterns. It opens to reveal five drawers in three rows, two of which are without a central rail. The uprights are inlaid with false fluting. It has tapered legs and a grey St. Anne marble top. Stamped Jean Caumont, Master in 1774. 16th-18th century
