Monumental Still Life By Max Carlier
Max (Albert) Carlier was a Belgian painter; born in Tourcoing / France in 1872 and died in Schaerbeek (Brussels) in 1938.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels; where he was influenced by the Impressionist and Realist styles of his time. Carlier created nudes, female figures, interiors, still lifes, and floral compositions.
He had a rich and warm color palette and showed meticulous attention to detail in his works.
Carlier became famous primarily for his sumptuous floral compositions and still lifes.
