Orientalist Carved Wood Wall-mounted Console Shelf In Medieval Style Ref1148

Interesting wall console in carved and polychrome stained wood depicting a Black man dressed in medieval style. It dates from the late 19th century, during the reign of Napoleon III.
This piece is in good condition, with no missing parts or damage, a lovely patina, and slight wear consistent with age and use (nothing serious, see photos).
