Jacob Petit, Jardiniere
The jardiniere is made of porcelain painted in polychrome and gold, with scalloped edges and a handle shaped like an elephant's head. The bottom bears the Jacob Petit trademark, 1796/1868.
It features a rich hand-painted decoration depicting stylized turquoise and blue bamboo branches, pink cherry blossoms, and a brown bird perched on a branch, reminiscent of oriental motifs. The top edge is finished with a thin gold border.
