A Japanese ivory vase from the Meiji period (1868-1912) with a relief depicting an elephant attacked by two tigers. It rests on a carved wooden base in the shape of an elephant. Height: 60 cm. This is a pre-conventional specimen made of elephant ivory (Elephantidae spp. I/A) before June 1, 1947, in accordance with EC Regulation 388/97 of December 9, 1996, Article 2 - Wmc. The CITES document required for re-export outside the EU is included.
