"Crystal Bonbonnière Le Creusot / Baccarat, Circa 1840, Compote Dish, Diamond Points, 19th Century"
A beautiful bonbonnière, also suitable as a compote dish, made of molded and cut crystal in a diamond point shape, from the Le Creusot-Baccarat factory. This diamond point model was listed in the catalog of the Royal Factory of Montcenis, located in Le Creusot and acquired on June 19, 1833, by the Baccarat and Saint-Louis company. Some of the equipment and molds were transported to Baccarat, and the buildings were sold. This model appears in the 1840 Baccarat catalog (see last photo), under the heading "beveled diamonds and cut with flat ribs." It is unsigned, as the "Baccarat" trademark was registered on October 29, 1860. The molded pieces were only signed from 1875 onwards. Beautifully crafted with a very pleasant crystal sound. Shipping and handling: €20 within mainland France; please contact us for other destinations. Dimensions: Height 23.5 cm, lid diameter 15 cm, sweetener diameter 14 cm, base diameter 8 cm
