"G-plan Teak Sideboard – Fresco Model – Victor Wilkins – Circa 1960"
THE ITEM We are pleased to offer this superb sideboard from the renowned British manufacturer G-Plan (E. Gomme Ltd), an iconic piece of 1960s design. It is most likely a variation of the famous "Fresco" range, designed by Victor Wilkins, recognizable by the quality of its finishes and its organic lines. DESIGN & AESTHETICS This teak piece is distinguished by its beautiful honey color and warm grain. The front opens with four hinged doors, revealing a generous storage space with interior shelves. The design is enhanced by the sculpted solid teak handles, typical of the organic Scandinavian style that made the brand so successful during this period. The piece rests on a plinth base (or tapered legs if applicable; please check upon receipt) which lightens its silhouette. DIMENSIONS & USE With its compact length of 162 cm, this piece is particularly sought after as it is easier to integrate into urban interiors than standard models over 2 meters long. Its low height (64 cm) makes it an ideal TV stand or a perfect low console table for displaying works of art. CONDITION Mid-20th-century period piece. Good overall condition. The wood has a beautiful patina. Delivery within mainland France is possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
