Empire Period Mahogany Commode In The Egyptian Revival Style
A superb Egyptian Revival commode in mahogany and Cuban mahogany veneer, topped with a beautiful marble slab. The front features three large drawers adorned with ring handles in gilt bronze with lion heads. The uprights are decorated with gilt and chased bronze caryatids resting on tapered pilasters and terminating in black and gold claw feet. This commode is in perfect condition. Early 19th century, Empire period.
