Large Ceramic Lamp Attributed To Capodimonte - Italy - Circa 1960/1970
A rare and spectacular Italian lamp in white glazed ceramic, attributed to the Capodimonte workshops, depicting an allegorical male bust adorned with a rich high-relief decoration.
The blindfolded figure wears a large crown of finely modeled vine leaves and bunches of grapes, typical of Capodimonte productions from the second half of the 20th century: meticulously applied foliage, full-formed, raised grape bunches, an expressive face, and a theatrical aesthetic inspired by mythology. The bust also features a vine motif in its hands.
Cylindrical lampshade.
