-The cabinet rests on four cabriole legs.
-It boasts rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze, including foliate moldings, corner mounts decorated with flowers and shells, espagnolettes, and sabots.
-The interior is lined with worn salmon-colored velvet and has a beveled shelf on two sides.
-Signed "Boudet, 43 Boulevard des Capucines, Paris." Established at 43 Boulevard des Capucines in Paris in 1886 and at 8 Place Vendôme from 1908 under the name Boudet Frères & Cie until 1914, it was one of the most important Parisian retailers of luxury furniture, bronzes, objets d'art, and silverware. Among the cabinetmakers and sculptors who supplied the goods he stamped Boudet were often Zwiener, Linke, and Millet.
