Oil on canvas depicting a young couple in their home overlooking a balcony. The young woman returns from a walk in the gardens, proudly showing her finds to her husband.
The flowers she holds represent the ephemeral nature of youth and passionate love, before the monotony of married life catches up with them. The woman looks at us while her husband gazes at her tenderly. On the desk, we notice two books, a ruler, a sheet of paper, and a compass. Could the husband be an architect or a surveyor? Is this the geometry of their love?
