A cast, repoussé, and chased silver kettle with a burner. The vessel is in the shape of a lion resting on its four paws. The head has an openwork crown. At the back, there is a trapdoor for placing embers and a circular opening for adding water to the inner tube. The tail is raised in a double curve to form a handle. The mouth is slightly open with a water spout. South America, Upper Peru, late 18th century, weight 2811 grams.
