Large Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Lamp – Canton, Late 19th Century. Superb lamp made from a baluster-shaped Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vase, decorated with imperial scenes and court figures, as well as floral motifs and traditional friezes. Cantonese work, circa 1880–1900, Late Qing (Guangxu) period. It features handles in the form of raised chimeras, characteristic of Cantonese production. It rests on a carved wooden base and was converted into a lamp during the 20th century.
