Crystal ewer with solid silver mount, mid-19th century.
Of baluster form, the body encircled by a wide openwork mount chased with foliate scrolls, flower garlands and cartouches. It rests on a foot decorated with leaves and scrolls. The neck and spout are adorned with a mascaron, the hinged cover surmounted by a seed-shaped finial. The scrolling handle is decorated with flowers.
French Minerva 1st standard hallmark.
