A sculptor of considerable talent, he was a pupil of Ulisse Cambi in Florence. He created many busts and portraits, including that of Vittorio Emanuele II for the Hall of the Grand Council in Florence.
He exhibited in Florence in 1861, at the Permanent Exhibition of Fine Arts in Turin in 1884 and at the Italian General Exhibition, also in Turin.
