Pair of candelabras
Patinated and gilded bronze
Dimensions: H. 47 (cm.)
Paris, circa 1820
Large pair of three-branched candelabra known as “Roman lamp” style. They rest on a tripod base. Three spheres decorated with claws support a slightly baluster-shaped shaft with foliage friezes and fluting. Medicis-shaped holders support the four removable lights. Very fine workmanship from the early Restoration period. Very fine burnishing.
Condition report: very minor wear to the gilding and patina
