A very rare lectern made of solid guaiac wood, dating from the early 18th century, possibly the 17th; it's difficult to date or make comparisons. Tables, furniture, and everyday objects are made of guaiac, but a lectern, given the hardness of this wood and the difficulty of turning it, is unusual!
