"Baccarat - Pair Of Vases Decorated With Wisteria "
Pair of Baccarat Art Nouveau cylindrical clear vases with Venetian ribbing and gold enamel decoration of wisteria branches in relief. The ends are highlighted with fine gold. A similar model is listed in the Old Baccarat Tableware catalog. It does not bear the Baccarat signature: early 20th-century production, prior to 1936, the year the crystalworks began systematically acid-etching its signature onto its pieces. Venetian ribbing, a style in which the interior of the glass is slightly undulating in vertical stripes, is a technique often seen in French glassware and vases that was popular from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
