Ornamental ceramic piece designed for a terrace or veranda of a house on the French Riviera around 1900. This superb naturalistic glazed earthenware depicts a flamingo posing among Camargue reeds, adorned with a cachepot featuring a pink water lily, a rarer model than the iris. Both the column and the cachepot are signed by Delphin Massier in Vallauris (photo). Total height 154 cm
