I am offering this rare and beautiful oil on canvas by the painter Jean Joseph Sanfourche. Jean-Joseph Sanfourche, known simply as Sanfourche, was a French painter, poet, draftsman, and sculptor, born on June 25, 1929, in Bordeaux, and died on March 13, 2010, in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat. He practiced Art Brut and was notably a friend of Gaston Chaissac and Jean Dubuffet, with whom he maintained a long correspondence. Like many of his works, the canvas is not mounted on a stretcher; it is in good condition and measures 57 cm x 77 cm.
