Magnificent six-panel Japanese Byōbu folding screen, hand-painted on a hammered gold leaf background. The work depicts an autumn landscape with a meandering stream, stylized rocks, wild grasses, and a flock of quail with finely detailed plumage. A traditional Nihonga painting, executed with natural mineral pigments, sumi ink, and classic mounting on a wood and paper frame. The green, brown, and blue colors stand out elegantly against the gold background, creating a scene that is both luminous and serene. Good overall condition, gilding well preserved, minor marks or creases consistent with age. Japan, 20th century. Height 94 cm. Total width 204 cm.
