19th Century Marine Trunk In Camphor Wood
Large late 19th-century officer's trunk, known as a naval trunk, made of solid camphor wood, with brass corners and bronze carrying handles. This trunk has traveled to distant lands, bearing the marks of time, wear and tear, and evidence of old restorations. Its dimensions allow it to be used as a coffee table for bottles or as a trunk in front of a bed for storing sheets and duvets, which will absorb the natural scent of the wood. The piece has been cleaned, patinated, and waxed in our workshop.
