He studied painting and drawing in the studios of Yves Brayer at the Grande Chaumière and Georges Cheyssial at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His style, often described as "post-impressionist," is distinguished by a subtle use of light and a harmonious palette, adapted to each subject to reveal its emotion and atmosphere.
