Large and beautiful glazed stoneware plaque, Virgin and Child, circa 1955–1965. Finely modeled in chamotte stoneware, the decoration depicts a Virgin and Child, typical of his religious work and the production of his Breton workshop. Thick polychrome glaze, nuanced with browns, blues, and ivory, displays beautiful drips and a texture characteristic of his work. The piece has significant relief and a strong decorative presence. The artist's usual signature is incised on the reverse. Good dimensions: 40 cm high by 25 cm wide. In very good condition, with no cracks, chips, or restorations. Carefully packaged for shipping.
