"Ercuis Plateau, 19th Century"
Superb silver-plated tray from the prestigious Ercuis firm. 19th-century model with a lovely decoration of foliage and palmettes around the rim, circa 1890. A delicate monogram, GJ, is in the center. Length from handle to handle: 53 cm. Tray dimensions: 45 x 36 cm. Weight: 2.72 kg. In beautiful condition with no loss of silver plating, a lovely shine, and only minor scratches and signs of use. A very attractive and high-quality piece, marked on the reverse with the Ercuis mark and the maker's mark OE (Ercuis silversmiths) with a centaur. See the shop
