"Japanese-style Bronze Tea Service, Marked Bd 871"
A bronze tea service or writing set with richly chased decoration of dragons, foliage, and stylized chimeras, in a Far Eastern, or "Japonaise," style. It comprises an openwork tray with a Greek key pattern and dragons, five compartmentalized pots with pagoda-shaped lids, and two removable trays. Late 19th century. Marked under the tray: BD 871.
