Empire Bouillotte Lamp With Swans In Gilt Bronze And Mirror
Empire bouillotte lamp with swans in gilt bronze, engraved mirror, and painted sheet metal, 19th century. Surmounted by a delicately chased gilt bronze ring with laurel leaves, its stem supports a height-adjustable lampshade in dark green painted sheet metal with gilt laurel leaves (white interior), as well as three height-adjustable swan-shaped light arms. The whole rests on a chased and gilt bronze basket with a rare chased mirror background of laurel leaves and a central column.
Good condition, with a small solder joint and retouching of the gilding on one swan's beak.
