Provenance: Presented by the inhabitants of Guines (Nord) to Abbé Meunier in 1879. Two medallions: The first dedicated by the inhabitants of Guines, the second with the monogram of Abbé Meunier. Interesting bonbonnière decorated with palmettes and scrolls within a frieze. The handles are decorated with pine cones and acanthus leaves. The whole is surmounted by a finial decorated with a bird on a flowering branch. French work, 19th century. Minerva hallmark, 1st standard. Goldsmith? Slight dent on the right side of the medallion. Weight: 517g
