Rare and exceptional men's signet ring bearing the coat of arms of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. "Equestris Ordo Santi Sepulcre Hierosolymitani," a chivalric order of pontifical right under the protection of the Holy See and governed by a Cardinal Grand Master. The bezel is adorned with an intaglio on blue Nicolo agate depicting the Order's coat of arms. Jerusalem Cross: A cross with equal arms potent, flanked by five small crosses called "croisettes," recalling the five wounds inflicted on Christ on the Cross at Golgotta. The cross is flanked by two angels: on the right, holding a gold banner with a red cross, and on the left, a bishop's staff with a crosier. The cross is surmounted by a gold helmet and a crown of thorns, framed by two banners with red crosses. Below the cross, a scroll bears the motto of the order: DEUS LO VULT (God willing). 14k gold (585/1000) setting bearing the scallop shell hallmark on the outer ring. Bezel height 15 mm - width 14 mm.
