A late 19th-century Japanese folding screen. This very attractive screen is composed of four panels: the two central panels are 41 cm wide, and the two outer panels are 43 cm wide. It depicts a magnificent and harmonious landscape with a beautiful design featuring skillful ink gradations. The artist's signature is located in the lower left corner. The high-quality construction of the blackened wood frame, embellished with numerous intricately worked brass plaques, is particularly noteworthy. The screen is lined with wallpaper and is also in excellent condition. A truly beautiful collector's and decorative piece in exceptional original condition.
