Silver-plated metal candle holder. The tripod shape rests on a decoration of acanthus leaves, vines, rocaille forms, stylized foliage motifs, a cartouche, a base, interlacing patterns, palmettes, and gadroons. The upper section, with its turned baluster, is enhanced by its chamfered facets, which also alternate with the curved lower sections. The chiseling and depth of the high reliefs are accentuated by a striated background. Spectacular size, screw-in bulb. Illuminates an area of 15 to 20 square meters. Rare piece.
