An imposing and very rare Eharo dance mask used by the Elema people, native to the Gulf of Papua. This type of mask, worn on festive occasions, depicts totemic figures, animals, or plants from ancestral myths. Made from beaten bark called "tapa" (in banyan?), recycled fabric, feathers, plant fibers, and natural pigments. A unique piece sold with a display stand.
