"Village And Walkers Of Duhem Henri "
A very beautiful oil on wood panel by the painter Henri Aimé Jules Duhem, born April 7th in Douai and died October 24th, 1941 in Juan-les-Pins (Alpes-Maritimes). A Post-Impressionist, he was a student of Émile Breton and enrolled in Henri Harpignies' drawing classes in Paris in 1877. In 1914, he regularly exhibited his works at the Salon of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. He was supported in his exhibitions by Camille Pissarro and was also a close friend of Auguste Rodin and Henri Le Sidaner. He was also a collector of works by all the great masters of Impressionism at the time. This is a beautiful representation of his talent with this view of a village and its inhabitants!
