Antique Seal Pendant In Yellow Gold And Intaglio Amethyst With Ecclesiastical Coat Of Arms

A finely chased 18K yellow gold seal (hallmark: owl), set with an amethyst weighing approximately 7 carats, engraved with an intaglio depicting the coat of arms of a bishop: a dignified hat placed above the shield, with cords on each side ending in 10 tassels; the shield is adorned with crosses and flowers, and surmounted by a crown, a crosier, and a mitre. An inscription is also engraved at the bottom of the intaglio. 19th-century work. Gross weight: 7.89 g. Height: 3.10 cm. Width: 1.80 cm.
