"Louis XVI Period Side Table, Stamped Stockel "
An elegant rectangular mahogany side table, the apron has a side drawer framed with rows of bronze beads, tapered legs, and a white marble top (with a small chip at one corner) framed by a bronze gallery. A charming "flying" table on all sides, elegant in proportion, it is stamped by Joseph Stockel (1743-1802), master in 1775, known for the quality of his finishes with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
