This beautifully executed oil on canvas depicts a coastal landscape in Plounéour-Trez, a former commune located on the north coast of the Finistère department in the Brittany region. It merged with Brignogan-Plages to form the new commune of Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages. Georges Levreau (1867-1936) was a French painter born in Nantes. His work comprises numerous portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. He is also responsible for the decoration of the Italian-style theater in La Roche-sur-Yon. He is also known for his decorations for the La Cigale brasserie in Nantes, which he created in 1895. The artwork is presented unprepared and unrestored; you must accept the imperfections due to age.
