"Louis XV Style Boulle Marquetry Dressing Table – 19th Century"
An elegant dressing table in ebonized wood, adorned with rich Boulle marquetry in brass and red tortoiseshell, finely chased with scrolling foliage and arabesque motifs. The undulating top opens to reveal a mirror framed in gilt bronze and an interior storage compartment. The curved apron is decorated with chased gilt bronze mounts featuring mascarons, foliage, and shells, typical of the Louis XV style. It rests on four cabriole legs terminating in finely chased gilt bronze sabots. French work, circa 1860-1880, in the style of André-Charles Boulle.
