Giordano di Palma was born in 1886 in Marseille. A painter for the Ministry of Colonies, he exhibited Mediterranean landscapes at the Salon des Artistes Français. With the beautiful light of late afternoon and soft tones, the painter captures the essence of the Joliette port. The painting is inscribed and dated 1934 on the back. Giordano di Palma is listed in the "Bénézit" dictionary and enjoys a very high reputation among collectors.
