Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Snuff Bottle – Early 20th Century
A fine hand-painted porcelain snuff bottle, decorated in underglaze blue with a continuous mountain landscape featuring pine trees and scholar figures. The cylindrical body tapers gently towards the neck, beneath a gilt-brass mount set with a red glass cabochon stopper.
The base bears a two-character mark Zheng Ya (正雅), meaning “upright and elegant,” commonly used as an auspicious inscription during the Republic period (ca. 1915–1935).
