"Cupid Drawing His Bow"
Cupid drawing his bow, bronze from the last quarter of the 18th century. Attributed to Francesco Righetti (1749-1819), this artist specialized in creating bronze or lead copies of famous sculptures from classical antiquity. A small piece of the bow is missing. Nice patina.
The image, set against a red brick background, depicts a life-size lead sculpture, signed Righetti, in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
