A handsome and larger scale early 19th century William IV period green leather mahogany frame library armchair of generous proportions. The substantial, well-shaped frame features an upholstered back, and arms, all covered in the original green leather. The chair boasts scrolling arms, a deep buttoned seat, and close-nailed brass stud detailing. The chair stands on tall turned mahogany legs terminating on the original large brass castors. The frame is in good solid condition and the chair has a good seat height and is very comfortable to sit in and will give many years of good service. It is in superb condition with no damage or repairs. The chair seat height is 53cm. This armchair offers both comfort and aesthetic charm.
