Large mahogany and gilt bronze display cabinet, Empire period - circa 1830. Superb flame mahogany display cabinet with two arched glass doors, framed by detached columns with gilt bronze capitals and rings. Richly ornamented with finely chased bronze mounts depicting musical angels, acanthus leaves, and neoclassical attributes. The pediment features an elegant decorative frieze in gilt bronze. The interior is fitted with original wooden shelves. The lock and key are functional. The piece is in exceptional condition, without any restoration, with a very clean original varnish and complete, gilt bronze mounts. French work, Restoration period, circa 1830.
