Type A Balanced Lamp, Edouard Wilfrid Buquet
Edouard Wilfrid Buquet, double-balancing floor lamp in nickel-plated steel, Type A model known as the "Balanced Lamp," designed in 1927. The original 1927 catalog lists it as "Type A" (with two radii of action: 0.6 and 0.8 m). It also included its inverted equivalent as a ceiling light (Type P), the floor lamp model (Type SS), and a wall-mounted variant (Type M). Published by AML Licht & Design (AML Balanstrasse 9, Munich), this very high-quality lamp is featured in this exact configuration of finish and wiring in Andrea Luperger's brochure "The Balanced Lamp," self-published around 1980. Standard bayonet socket, bulb included. Two original Buquet models are published: Charlotte & Pieter Fiell, 1000 Lights, vol. 1, Cologne 2005, p. 244 and p. 245.
