A very important tubular vase in black opaline glass by Anatole Riecke. Its stylized black and red geometric modernist decorations. Signed and dated on the side, June 4, 1949. The model was created by the artist for the decoration of the La Coupole restaurant in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. A glassmaker of Russian origin active in Paris in the 1930s, Anatole Riecke is distinguished by his Art Deco creations in engraved or opaline glass. He contributed to the decoration of the La Coupole restaurant in Montparnasse from the late 1920s to the 1930s. It is in perfect condition.
