Large dish of 37 cm in diameter, in Longwy enamels entitled "Le printemps fleuri" decoration by Maurice Paul Chevallier. Its stamp from the beginning of the 20th century has two large crosses of Lorraine, with the mentions "Decorated by hand" and "France" included in the frame. A garland decorated with laurel leaves runs along this stamp, with the mentions "Made in France" and "Since 1798" This decoration "Le printemps fleuri" is by MP Chevallier born on May 10, 1892 and entered the factory in April 1925. He created for the Colonial Exhibition, the famous ball, the only piece presented by Longwy, which obtained the gold medal. Overflowing with imagination, having a taste for new experiences and the talent for precise and rapid execution, MP Chevallier became chief decorator since 1932, creating thousands of decorations. He left the factory on September 30, 1972 , and died in 1987.
