Iranian kilim from the Fars region (southwest Iran), wool, circa 1960. Very good condition.

Surrounded by an 'Aleh abassi'* border, two large medallions with zoomorphic motifs stand out against a patinated red 'kafzadé' (plain) background. Other geometric motifs fill the space. On either side, bands finish this dozar** format kilim.
*Aleh abassi: tulip border.
**Dozar: carpet format of approximately 2 m².
