Maison Alphonse Giroux, "the merchant of princes," was a major Parisian manufacturer of luxury furniture and accessories, whose products were intended for an aristocratic and bourgeois clientele, established in 1799 at No. 7 rue du Coq Saint-Honoré. Taken over in 1838 by his sons under the company name Alphonse Giroux et Cie. Transferred in 1857, 43, boulevard des Capucines then sold in 1867.
