"Art Deco Czech-slovakia Service Circa 1935"
Vintage Art Deco porcelain service, probably from the Czechoslovakia-based company H&C Chodau. This service is characterized by its geometric shapes and stylized design, characteristic of the Art Deco movement. H&C Chodau produced porcelain in Czechoslovakia, and some of its marks were used between 1928 and 1946 approximately. The service includes 77 pieces: 32 dinner plates, 17 soup plates and 6 dessert plates. There is a sugar bowl (missing the lid), coffee pot and milk jug, a large round platter, a deep salad bowl, a small oval platter, a large oval platter, 2 covered vegetable dishes, a large soup tureen, 8 cups with saucers, 2 oval serving dishes, a tall biscuit bowl, 2 tall biscuit bowls and a medium round platter. The decoration is perfect as is the condition and illustrates this period of Art Deco.
